About Fledge

Fledge is a free learn-to-invest platform for students. You get real market data, plain-English lessons built on famous investing ideas, a prediction game that grades your reasoning (not your luck), and a $10,000 practice portfolio — fake money, real prices, zero risk. Schools can run classes on it; anyone can use it solo.

It was built by a student who wanted this to exist. It's not a brokerage, it can't touch real money, and nothing in it is financial advice.

Is the money real?
No. The practice portfolio and the game use pretend money at real market prices. You cannot deposit, buy, or lose real money anywhere in Fledge.

Where do the prices and numbers come from?
From third-party market-data providers and public government sources (listed below). Free data feeds are delayed — typically around 15 minutes — and can occasionally be wrong. Every screen labels where its data stands.

Will Fledge tell me what to buy?
Never. Lessons teach ideas; the game grades how you read evidence; AI summaries describe what your own numbers did. None of it is a recommendation.

How do I delete my account?
Settings → Account → delete. It removes your data (see the Privacy Policy).

I found a wrong number or a bug.
Use Send feedback in the footer of any page — those go straight to the person who can fix it.

I'm a teacher — can I use this with my class?
Yes — teacher accounts can create a class with join codes, and every student gets their own practice portfolio and lesson tracking. Reach out via the contact below.

Market and financial data displayed in Fledge comes from: Yahoo Finance (quotes and price history), Finnhub (news and calendars), Financial Modeling Prep (company fundamentals), the U.S. SEC's EDGAR system (official company filings), FRED — Federal Reserve Economic Data (macro series), and StockTwits (social sentiment). Data is theirs, delayed, and provided for education — not for trading decisions.
